Car history: |
I took delivery of this new 1961 Corvette from Rhodes Chevrolet Sales, Inc. in Bloomfield, Indiana on November 21, 1960 for the sum of $4,100. This list price was $4,655.35 which included $30.50 for Freight & Handling and $5.00 for Anti-Freeze! I have the original invoice, bill of sale, patch and Ownership Card. On July 1, 1961, I left Indiana and drove over part of Route 66 to California in just under 42 hours. Later that month, I sold the '61 to a used car dealer, located on auto row, in Los Angeles, before my entering college. I have no record of the '61 after the month of July, 1961, however, I would like to know if the Corvette still exists. |
